Studying the future of work through patents: humans and robots in Amazon warehouses
Alessandro Delfanti is an associate professor at the University of Toronto, with appointments at the Institute of Communication, Culture, Information and Technology and the Faculty of Information. A former science journalist, he researches the politics of digital media and technology and their significance for workers and scientists. He is the author of Biohackers: The Politics of Open Science (Pluto 2013) and Introduction to Digital Media (Wiley 2019). He is working on a new book titled The Warehouse: Humans and Robots at Amazon, forthcoming with Pluto in 2021.
